Safer Internet Day 2019

This morning, Robert Browning hosted a fun (but very serious) assembly to raise awareness of how to stay safe and happy whilst using the internet. Inspired by the picture book- Chicken Clicking - students and teachers bought the book alive to deliver our valuable safety message.

Following the assembly, parents and carers participated in the following carousel of workshops:

  • digital parenting and materials to help
  • how our children are communicating online
  • how to help our children portray themselves positively
  • managing your child's screen time
  • how to activate parental filters for your child's device

In class, the children have also been: making safety posters, giving Chicken Clicking advice, coming up with other ways to play, looking at how websites use our information, thinking about how we should or shouldn't use selfies and thinking about what we say online and how it can effect others.

If you were unable to attend our information parent/carer sessions, please do ask you children about what they have learnt today!

Also please visit our LINKS page as it is loaded with great advice for parents.
